Ben Roethlisberger Rape? Really?
Another rape accusation of another sport icon. Ben Roethlisberger was accused of rape this evening after a women filed a law suit against "Big" Ben. Maybe his nickname is not about his height? Huh? did you think of that? But really...
I doubt highly Ben has assaulted anyone. Here is why:
1. It was over a year ago
2. He was just in Tahoe again and the timing is suspect
3. She never filed a police report... Only a civil suit
4. Again, where is the police report?
5. The numbers she is suing for seem a bit calculated
Here is a statement from Ben's lawyer:
"The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct," Cornwell said. "If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated."
Goodell had to chime in and lay down the law. Of course he will investigate and Ben should be more worried about the long arm of Goodell than the law.
